A lab technician works to ensure the flow and upkeep of the lab at NeighborHealth Center according to CLIA standards. The lab technician is knowledgeable and trained to use all the equipment in the lab and is also capable of training others. The lab technician is responsible for maintaining inventory for the clinic and inventory required for the upkeep of the lab. This person is responsible for ensuring the functionality of all the equipment and is responsible for the maintenance and quality controls of the lab equipment. The Medical Assistant position is responsible for a variety of clinical tasks for the care of patients from the waiting area to the exam room, documenting work in the electronic medical record, treating patients in a timely and professional manner and keeping their work area properly stocked, cleaned, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The Registration Representative position is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks essential for the efficient care of patients at NeighborHealth Center (NHC), including handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and registering patients. Upon completion of training, the Registration Representative will be assigned to a Care Team to assist in taking care of that Care Team’s population of patients. Staff are required to document their work in the practice management system, attend to patients in a timely and professional manner, and keep their work areas in good order.
