Well-Child Visits
It is very important to schedule regular well-child visits for your child to ensure their healthy development and growth. These visits start shortly after birth and continue through adolescence. Well-child visits are scheduled generally every 2-3 months from birth to age 2, then every 1-2 years from ages 3 to 18.

Well-child care at NeighborHealth includes:

  • Tracking of growth and development
  • Parent and child encouragement and guidance
  • Screening of vision and hearing
  • Screening for lead, cholesterol, and anemia
  • Administration of immunizations
  • Childhood Immunizations

There are many excellent vaccines available to protect your child from serious illness. All recommended childhood vaccines will be provided at NeighborHealth during well-child visits. It is important that parents ensure that each of their children are properly immunized; this will also protect others in the community from the spread of serious illness. If you have questions about vaccines, please ask—your child’s doctor will be happy to discuss them with you.
