On April 26th, NeighborHealth hosted its first-ever fundraising event – an early morning breakfast with 120 of our friends and neighbors. This powerful event gave us the opportunity to share our mission with many long-time friends, as well as many who were learning about NeighborHealth for the first time. We’re humbled by the number of attendees as well as the generosity of our event sponsors.
We are so grateful to those of you who attended, sponsored, or invited friends and loved ones – your support will help us continue to do more for our most vulnerable neighbors in the coming year and beyond. If you were unable to make it check out our video slideshow below. We are already making plans for next year’s event, which we expect will be even bigger and better with the generous support and guidance we continue to receive from God and our incredible partners, donors and friends.
Just one year ago, NeighborHealth launched its first community giving campaign – Growing for Good. This year-long campaign was designed to support our continued expansion, including the opening of our new clinic on Blue Ridge Road which is allowing us to offer nearly 8,000 additional visits per year.
Since launching the campaign, we have raised 70 percent of our $500,000 goal—funds that will help us meet the growing demand for healthcare services in our community. We are humbled by the outpouring of support we’ve received, but we’re not quite to our goal, yet and we need your help to get there.
If you haven’t yet contributed, there’s still time. If you’ve already made a donation, we are incredibly grateful. Either way, we’re hoping our generous supporters can help us spread the word about the work we do here at NeighborHealth to help us meet our Growing for Good goal and take this campaign over the finish line.
Yes! I’ll Make a Contribution or Help Spread the Word
As the third-fastest growing county in the nation, Wake County continues to experience unprecedented population growth. At NeighborHealth alone, our patient volumes have increased by nearly 70 percent in just three years. At the same time, our un- and under-insured population continues to climb, with more than 10 percent of residents under the age of 65 living without health insurance. In 2022, NeighborHealth delivered more than $1.1 million in uncompensated care – and we expect that number to increase significantly in 2023.
Our mission is to serve Christ by loving our neighbors through excellent, compassionate and accessible healthcare. Every dollar raised through this campaign will help us deliver on this important mission – and will offset the cost to care for patients who would otherwise not have access to high-quality healthcare.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
With gratitude,
Daniel Lipparelli
