An Incredible Time to Celebrate

Earlier this week, NeighborHealth hosted its third annual Partnership Breakfast, where we had the opportunity to connect and break bread with hundreds of dedicated supporters, staff, patients, and community partners who make our work possible. It was a morning of food, fellowship, and fun – but also an important time to reflect on where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re headed as an organization. We are grateful to every attendee, supporter, and sponsor who took the time to join us and make the event possible.

What It Means to Be a Good Neighbor

NeighborHealth Senior Physician Dr. Doug Briggs helped us explore what it means to be a good neighbor with insightful remarks about the importance of meeting the critical, yet too often overlooked healthcare needs of the thousands of individuals right here in Wake County who have no insurance or ability to pay for care. We heard from supporters, providers, and patients about the unique experience and unrivaled care that NeighborHealth provides to our growing community – and how it can transform lives for patients with nowhere else to turn.

And, while NeighborHealth has faced significant challenges over the past year, and we know there are many continued uncertainties ahead, our mission remains unwavering – we are here to serve Christ by loving our neighbors through excellent, compassionate, and accessible healthcare. We have big goals for the coming year – serving more patients, expanding access to care, strengthening community support, and engaging volunteers, just to name a few.

Throughout breakfast, I was reminded of what it looks like when a community comes together with compassion and purpose. It is because of this incredible community that we are able to do what we do – even amidst uncertain times.

Our Annual Report

For those of you who couldn’t join us, our 2024 Annual Report highlights many of the updates we shared, as well as several NeighborHealth stories of impact. To all our supporters, we invite you to share this overview of our mission and our work within your own network(s). With your sustained support, NeighborHealth will continue to expand its reach to fulfill the vision set forth by our founders: to ensure that everyone – regardless of income, background, or life circumstance – has the ability to receive high-quality, compassionate healthcare.

With Gratitude,
Daniel Lipparelli, MBA, CEO
