This month, we are proud to introduce our new Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Matt Oettinger. A Rocky Mount native, husband and father of two daughters, Dr. Oettinger is a visionary leader who brings big picture thinking and a heart for caring for underserved communities to our NeighborHealth family. Thank You to Our Partners
From our staff, Board, and leadership, thank you to our supporters who gave generously toward our 2024 year-end campaign. We were blessed to receive from an anonymous donor our largest single gift since opening our doors in 2018, and we met a $40,000 challenge match made possible by two couples. All in all, we raised over $750,000 in 2024 that will help us to continue to love our neighbors through excellent, compassionate, and accessible healthcare. We thank God for his continued financial provision to NeighborHealth Center!
Healthcare Corner
Here are some tips for staying healthy during the winter:
- Stay hydrated: Drink at least 8 cups of water per day.
- Dress in layers: Wear warm clothing that protects your extremities from the cold.
- Wash your hands: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Get vaccinated: Vaccinations can help protect you from illnesses like the flu.
- Exercise: Regular physical activity has many benefits for your physical and mental health.
- Get enough sleep: Getting adequate sleep promotes immunity, among other things.

NeighborHealth recently launched an Amazon wishlist that is updated frequently with items needed to meet the needs of our patients and clinic operations.
