Holiday Reflections
Merry Christmas to you, our devoted NeighborHealth friends and supporters. We hope you have enjoyed the gifts of the season thus far as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
While the past two years have been challenging for everyone in many ways, we’ve also been given many unexpected gifts. Some have been given the gift of more time at home with family. Others have been given the gift of a slower pace of life. It’s our hope that we all have had the chance to reflect on the truly important things in life.
While these things may differ from person to person, the gift of good health is one that can’t be underestimated – and one that has been called into question for many over the past several years as we’ve battled a global pandemic alongside the unprecedented growth of our region. We know that many underserved members of our community continue to struggle with accessing high quality healthcare.
That’s why NeighborHealth continues to expand, and to provide much-needed services like primary care, women’s health, COVID-19 testing and vaccination, and much more. We are proud to serve as a safety net provider for so many members of our community who may not otherwise get the healthcare services they need.
This holiday season, we are proud to reflect on all that we’ve been able to do to support our most vulnerable neighbors over the past year – while also looking ahead to the future. For the coming year, our hopes are set high. In 2022, NeighborHealth intends to serve more patients, deliver more care, and transform more lives with the gift of good health. Our plans are moving ahead quickly for a major facility expansion, an expanded focus on women’s health and refugee support, ongoing COVID-19 care, and more.
But, we can’t do it without the support of our community. Here at NeighborHealth, God has given us the incredible opportunity to change people’s lives through the delivery of exceptional healthcare – and your support can allow us to impact more lives than ever. Here are a few examples of how a generous monthly recurring gift can make a difference in the lives of our patients each and every month:
A gift of $25/month provides lab work for one uninsured patient
A gift of $100/month provides transportation to the clinic for five patients
A gift of $150/month provides interpreter sessions for ten non-English speaking patients
A gift of $300/month provides for a visit and lab work for an uninsured patient
If you are supportive of our mission and the important work we do, we ask that you consider making a financial gift to NeighborHealth this Christmas by visiting us online at neighborhealthcenter.org/donate or contacting Susan Metts, director of development, at smetts@neighborhealthcenter.org or 919-812-3554. Your tax-free gift will allow us to continue doing God’s work through the gift of good health.
The NeighborHealth team and Board of Directors, wish you a very Merry Christmas and pray you enjoy a happy, healthy holiday with your family and loved ones!
