This Thanksgiving, we at NeighborHealth have so much to be thankful for.

It has been a remarkable year, and our hearts are filled with gratitude for all we’ve been able to accomplish together on behalf of our patients and our growing community.

In just the past year, NeighborHealth Center has cared for more than 7,000 patients – providing personalized, compassionate care to many of our most vulnerable neighbors. With the help of our generous donors and community supporters, we’ve been able to provide more than $1.1 million in unreimbursed care – offering a lifeline for thousands of men, women, and children. By meeting the unmet healthcare needs of our community, NeighborHealth Center is changing lives, improving health, and serving Christ. We are so thankful for this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many.

Thankful Patients
We love hearing why our patients are thankful for NeighborHealth!

“I love NeighborHealth – the staff is so professional, compassionate and understanding. You feel as if they really care about you and your concerns. They take the time to listen to you. May this facility and team continue to grow! Keep up the good work.”
-Aliyah

“I am new to America and the system is very complicated compared to the one I knew where you could just walk into the hospital and be tended to. But, when I joined NeighborHealth, I received every response. They care for me and my children and I am so thankful for my doctor – we talk like we are brothers. When I come here, I’m at home and I don’t feel out of place.”

Our 2022 Gratitude Journal

When we reflect on the many gifts of 2022, here are just a few of the many blessings the year has brought forth.

  • The incredible patients we serve. Serving our patients is a true gift, and it is the reason we are here. This year, we’ve had the privilege and honor of providing high-quality and compassionate care to thousands of patients from all stages and walks of life.
  • Our dedicated care team and staff.  The medical providers and staff who are called to work at NeighborHealth are truly the best of the best. Our team not only delivers world-class healthcare, they go above and beyond to meet the unique needs of every patient we serve.
  • The donors and supporters who make our work possible. The charitable gifts we receive from our community supporters make the work we do possible. Without their generous support, we wouldn’t have the resources to deliver upon our important mission.
  • Our inspiring leaders. This year, we proudly welcomed Daniel Lipparelli as our new CEO. He has brought powerful energy, leadership and inspiration to our incredible team during a critical phase of growth. At the same time, our Board of Directors continues to offer their dedication and guidance to keep NeighborHealth delivering on its mission of serving both Christ and our community.
  • Continued growth and expansion.  Late this summer, we opened our new, 16,000+-square foot clinic – a move that will allow us to serve up to 10,000 patients in 2023. In addition, we’ve expanded our behavioral health offerings and earned recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a patient-centered medical home (PCMH).

“NeighborHealth has always practiced whole healthcare by looking beyond just our patients’ immediate physical needs, and this recognition supports our unique patient care philosophy,” explains Doug Briggs, MD, Medical Director, NeighborHealth. “Our patients appreciate that we offer more than just traditional primary care. They know that we’re here to ensure their physical, emotional, spiritual needs are being met, and we even help address socioeconomic factors that could impact their ability to stay healthy. For us, “NeighborHealth is a great medical facility. They are caring for my 73-year-old mother-in-law who is now getting the medical check-ups and preventive health screenings she hasn’t had in many years. She is taking medicine that is helping with her conditions and making her life more comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you, NeighborHealth!”
