Meet Our New Provider, Holly Hempfling, FNP-BC
Holly comes to us from Williamson, Georgia where she lived until her recent move to North Carolina with her family. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia and her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia.
Holly worked as a nurse for 8 years, primarily in the emergency department, before becoming a nurse practitioner. That’s where she developed a desire to serve patients with limited access to care and resources. She went on to serve underserved patients as a nurse practitioner at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Georgia for 3 years before joining NeighborHealth Center in 2026.
Holly strives to treat patients as Christ would, with compassion. She focuses on understanding patients’ individual needs and circumstances and working with them to improve their health and well-being.
Holly lives in Durham with her husband, Chris, and their two daughters. They are currently expecting their third child. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, and reading.

A Message from Leadership
At NeighborHealth Center, we believe every person is created with inherent dignity and value. As a faith-based health center, we believe health encompasses more than the body; it includes our emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being as well.
That’s why we take a holistic approach to care. In addition to providing high-quality medical care, we strive to understand the many factors that influence your health, including stress, mental health, family relationships, and access to community resources. When desired by our patients, we are also happy to offer spiritual support as part of their care.
Our goal is to partner with you and your family to promote healing, wellness, and hope, caring for the whole person, every step of the way.
